Stinchcombe Parish Council offers small community grants to support projects and activities that benefit residents of the parish. Local groups and organisations are invited to apply each year.
Stinchcombe Parish Council offers small community grants to support activities and projects that benefit the Stinchcombe community.
The aim of the scheme is to encourage community activity, support local organisations and help deliver projects that improve the wellbeing, environment and social life of the parish.
Each year the Parish Council sets a grant budget in January. Applications are then considered by councillors at the Annual Meeting of the Council in May.
The total funding available each year is usually between £1,000 and £2,000, which is shared between successful applicants.
Who can apply
Applications are welcome from:
-
local voluntary and community organisations/individual volunteers
-
charities and not-for-profit groups
-
community clubs and societies
-
organisations delivering projects that benefit residents of Stinchcombe
Applicants should normally be based in the parish or be able to demonstrate a clear benefit to residents of Stinchcombe.

Projects that may be supported include:
-
community activities or events
-
projects that improve local facilities
-

-
equipment or resources that benefit local groups
The Parish Council does not normally fund salaries or ongoing operational costs.
How applications are assessed
All eligible applications are considered by the Parish Council using assessment criteria designed to support fair and consistent decision making.
Applications are assessed against factors such as:
-
the benefit to residents of Stinchcombe
-
how the project supports community activity and wellbeing
-
the positive impact on the wider community
-
value for money and financial planning
-
the viability of the project and the organisation’s ability to deliver it
-
any previous grant support received from the Parish Council
Meeting the criteria does not guarantee funding. Councillors will consider all applications before making a final decision.

-
a description of their organisation
-
details of the proposed project
-
the amount of funding requested
-
the total cost of the project
-
