Community groups invited to use local accessible minibus service
The Dursley and District Association for the Transport of the Disabled and Elderly (DATE) is inviting local groups who may benefit from the use of its accessible minibus to get in touch.
Published: 12 March 2026
The Dursley and District Association for the Transport of the Disabled and Elderly (DATE) has been operating a twelve-seat minibus in the local area for more than 40 years.
The volunteer-run charity provides transport to support local groups, helping members attend meetings, social activities and outings. The service is intended to benefit elderly and disabled residents, including young people with disabilities.
During 2024–2025 the minibus travelled 1,600 miles, carrying 1,800 passengers across 234 trips.
The minibus is regularly used by a number of organisations in the area, however DATE would welcome enquiries from additional local groups who may benefit from the service.
