Stinchcombe Playground and Community Space – Project Report Published

A full report detailing the development of the new playground and community space in Stinchcombe, from its early concept to completion, has been published by project lead John Pinch.

Published: 9 November 2025

The much-loved Stinchcombe Playground and Community Space has been several years in the making — an inspiring example of local vision, teamwork, and generosity.

From its first idea in 2020 to the official opening in September 2025, the project has brought together residents, volunteers, local businesses, and supporters to create a welcoming area for children to play and neighbours to meet.

A detailed report written by John Pinch, who led the design and coordination of the project, outlines the journey from the early planning stages through to successful fundraising via Spacehive, securing support from Stroud District Council, and the remarkable community effort that helped bring the project to life.

The report celebrates the many local contributions — from materials and labour to creative fundraising ideas — that made the playground possible.
